Professor Kim is a tax partner at Ashurst LLP. She is currently the office managing partner of New York office. Professor Kim’s practice is focused on cross border capital markets, funds, derivatives, financing and corporate transactions. She regularly advises banks and other issuers of structured notes referencing equities, rates, commodities, volatility indices and other assets; dealers and end users on ISDA transactions; banks and alternative lenders in credit facilities and back-levered financing arrangements; companies and underwriters in equity and debt issuances; asset and fund managers on fund formation and asset acquisitions; sovereigns, pension funds and other institutional investors into comingled funds, separate managed accounts, and other investment platforms across asset classes; companies on corporate transactions; and issuers and sponsors of structured finance transactions, including repacks. Professor Kim is responsible for the firm’s U.S. tax practice and developing internal and external training materials for clients and teams across the firm’s 32 offices in 19 countries.
