Robert J. Gajarsa is a partner and Chair of the Appellate Practice at Russ August & Kabat. He received an undergraduate degree in Economics from Georgetown University, an MBA from Duke University, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. His practice focuses on complex intellectual property issues at both the appellate and trial levels, and he specializes in appeals to the Federal Circuit, where he has assisted clients with dozens of appeals. Professor Gajarsa also advises clients on litigation and counseling matters outside of IP, including start-up financing and formation, healthcare regulation and clearance, antitrust, false advertising, and commercial free speech. Prior to joining Russ August & Kabat, Professor Gajarsa clerked for Chief Judge Sharon Prost and Judge Raymond Chen, both of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and for Judge Kent Jordan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
