Judge Bell was appointed to serve as an Administrative Law Judge with the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings in May 2018. She presides over cases involving Public Benefits, D.C. Public Schools, the Department of Public Works, and the Department of For-Hire Vehicles.
Prior to joining the Office of Administrative Hearings, Judge Bell served as an Assistant Deputy Attorney General with the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General. Early in her career, she served as a trial attorney in the same office and was awarded the Attorney General’s Extra Mile Award.
Judge Bell also served as the Section Chief of the Crime Victim Services Section for the Ohio Attorney General’s office. In that role, she was responsible for administering the Crime Victim Compensation Fund for the State of Ohio, in addition to distributing millions of dollars in grant funding to victim service agencies across the state. Judge Bell began her legal career as an Assistant City Prosecutor with the Columbus City Attorney’s Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Judge Bell graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master of Science degree in Sociology from Virginia Tech.
