Chloe Lyu
Chloe graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University in 2020. She majored in International Relations with a concentration in East and Southeast Asia and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Iota Rho. During her junior year summer, Chloe served as a Public Diplomacy Intern at the U.S. Department of State, working for the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. She assumed the Public Affairs Assistant portfolio at the Embassy. She provided press support for the Ambassador and the Washington-based policy community on the Republic of Korea and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea issues. She also had the opportunity to cooperate with the White House Advance team and support the Press Filing Center during the POTUS visit.
Right after graduating, Chloe worked as a Data Analyst at Vaco, where she proofread, reviewed, and analyzed Google Ads in English, Japanese, and Korean. She then began her legal career as a Business Immigration Analyst at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy, LLP. During her four years at Fragomen, Chloe managed employment-based immigrant visa cases for corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies. As an immigrant herself, Chloe found it meaningful to assist foreign national employees and their families in obtaining permanent residency in the United States.
Chloe was born in Leuven, Belgium, moved to Suwon, South Korea, when she was three, and immigrated to San Jose, California, in fifth grade. Chloe enjoys drawing, walking, reading, listening to music, and watching TV shows. She also loves learning languages. Chloe is fluent in Korean, English, and Japanese, speaks some French, and understands a little bit of Mandarin Chinese.
