Emma Villegas
Emma Villegas was raised in Miami and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Environmental Studies. At Boston College, Emma was a McGillycuddy-Logue fellow and a delegate at COP29 in Azerbaijan.
At Georgetown Law and as a Global Law Scholar, Emma is eager to deepen her interest in international law, which began during her internship at the Department of State’s Department of Western Hemisphere Affairs. Emma is specifically interested in the use of international law in global climate agreements. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, Emma seeks to focus on the role of the Latin American region in these international climate agreements. In her free time, Emma enjoys playing tennis and scuba diving.
