Gabriel Spira is from Great Falls, Virginia and spent much of his childhood living overseas in places like Cairo, Egypt and Bangkok, Thailand. In 2022, he received his B.A. in history with a minor in Russian from the College of William and Mary and the University of St Andrews in Scotland after completing a joint degree program with both universities. Gabriel is now pursuing his JD at the Georgetown University Law Center.

After graduating, Gabriel spent a semester studying Russian and political science at Daugavpils University in Latvia. Gabriel took classes on NATO relations with Russia and language politics and policy in the Baltic states following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At Georgetown, Gabriel is most interested in international law, diplomacy, refugee resettlement, and sustainable development in Eastern Europe and around the globe.
