Photo of Kiyoun LeeKiyoun Lee grew up across New Zealand, Singapore, and Vietnam before finishing high school in South Korea. He graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University in Qatar in 2025, earning a degree in International Politics from the School of Foreign Service.

After his freshman year in college, he took a gap year to complete his military service as a KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army), serving alongside U.S. troops stationed in Korea. Returning to university, he developed a strong interest in transnational legal issues through an internship at the U.S. Embassy in Qatar and participating in the Jean-Pictet International Humanitarian Law Competition.

Now a J.D. candidate at Georgetown Law and a member of the Global Law Scholars Program, Kiyoun plans to focus on cross-border commercial litigation and corporate law, with a particular interest in the Asia-Pacific region. He is fluent in Korean and is learning Mandarin and German. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, boxing, and investing—mainly in equities.
