Congressional and Georgetown Law staff to face off at ‘Home Court’ Charity Basketball Game

Members of Congress (Hill’s Angels) and Georgetown Law faculty and staff (Hoya Lawyas) will hit the basketball court for the 32nd Annual Home Court Charity Basketball Game. The game will raise money for the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Started by a group of Georgetown Law students in 1988, Home Court has raised more than $8 million since its inception.

WHO

The 2019 Congressional team, the Hill’s Angels is led by Rep. Conor Lamb (D- PA). He’s joined by Rep. Antonio Delgado (D- NY) and Rep. Cedric Richmond (D- LA). Matt Waldrip, Chief of Staff for Sen. Mitt Romney (R- UT), Kevin Lefeber, Legislative Assistant for Sen. Dick Durbin (D- IL), Kevin Dollhopf, Legislative Assistant for Rep. Debbie Dingell (D- MI), Alex Briggs, Legislative Director for Rep. Bob Gibbs (R- OH) will also play. In Attendance will be Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D- PA), Rep. Debbie Dingell (D- MI) and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D- TX).

The team captain of the Hoya Lawyas will be Professor Mike Frisch who will lead an all-star team of faculty and staff including Georgetown Law Dean William Treanor, Dean of Students Mitch Bailin, and Professors Laura Donohue, Shon Hopwood, David Koplow, Perry Russell- Hunter, Neel Sukhatme and Jamillah Bowman Williams.
