Aarash A. Haghighat is a former senior counsel with the Department of Justice (DOJ) who prosecuted cybercrime cases and advanced the DOJ’s related cyber policy initiatives from 2016 through 2025. While at DOJ, Mr. Haghighat served in prosecuting and policy roles with the Criminal Division’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, the Assistant Attorney General’s Office for the Criminal Division, and the Cybercrime Unit of the United States Attorneys’ Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Mr. Haghighat currently serves as a cyber and data protection counsel with Amazon, and previously worked as a litigation associate at Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, D.C. He graduated with distinction from Duke University, and as a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar from Columbia Law School.
