Ava Sack
Ava is a 1L student and a member of Cohort 8 in the Business Law Scholars program. She is interested in transactional law in the areas of healthcare/life sciences & FDA regulations. On campus, Ava is a Global Health Law Research Fellow working with Professor Lawrence Gostin and Professor Glenn Cohen at Harvard Law. She is also a part of the Georgetown Health Law Society, Corporate and Financial Law Organization, and Women’s Legal Alliance.
Background
Ava graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in History and Science, and a Secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. She wrote a thesis awarded High Honors in the Department of History and Science, and was a John Harvard Scholar.
Rowing has been an important part of Ava’s collegiate career. As a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Varsity Lightweight Rowing Team, she won gold medals at the Head of the Charles (2022 and 2023), and Henley Women’s Regatta in the UK. She acted as the team’s Chief Marketing Officer, and was President of Undergraduate Women of Harvard Athletics. Ava was a National Team Rower on the United States U23 National Team in 2022, where she trained and competed to a 5th place finish in the U23 women’s lightweight pair for the World Championships in Varese, Italy.
Beyond Law School
Ava is from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. In her free time, she enjoys skiing with her family in Lake Placid, NY, especially now that her father is a National Skipatroman. She also has taken up running and training for half/full marathons. Ava is a huge Eagles fan and loves attending games when home in Philadelphia with family and friends.
