Nate Malcolm
Nate is a Juris Doctor candidate in the Class of 2027 at Georgetown Law and in the Business Law Scholars program. He has experience as a corporate executive and a licensed clinical pharmacist, which he intends to incorporate into a legal role. In 2026, he will work as a Summer Associate at Paul Hastings LLP in New York.
Background
Before law school, Nate led teams focused on improving employee engagement, driving business growth, and enhancing financial performance within health systems. He served as President of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Florida, which employed 3,200 staff. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations at Advocate Health in Illinois, overseeing hospitals and outpatient facilities. Nate also held roles as Vice President of Operations at two Wisconsin hospitals with Ascension Health and as Market Chief Operating Officer for two Southern California hospitals with Dignity Health.
Nate holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, an MBA, and a Master’s degree in Pharmacy Administration and Human Resource Development. He previously served as a GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Industry Fellow. He is currently board-certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
At Georgetown Law, he is a member of the Corporate & Financial Law Organization, the Student Intellectual Property Association, and the Georgetown Labor & Employment Law Society.
Beyond Law School
Nate is originally from the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas of California. He enjoys fitness training, networking at social events, supporting NCAA athletics, and spending quality time with his family.
