Maya Chaudhuri is a staff attorney in the Special Litigation Division at the Public Defender Service for D.C. Before joining PDS, Ms. Chaudhuri completed an Equal Justice Works fellowship at the Southern Center for Human Rights. Ms. Chaudhuri graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 2021 with specializations in Critical Race Studies and the Public Interest Law and Policy programs. During law school, she served as the Chief Executive Editor of the UCLA Law Review. Before law school, she was a Senior Investigator at the Southern Center for Human Rights. Ms.Chaudhuri earned her B.S.F.S. in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
