Renée E. Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) and a nationally recognized leader in victims’ rights advocacy. With more than 15 years of experience across nonprofit leadership, legal services, and justice-focused initiatives, she has dedicated her career to advancing support, protections, and opportunities for survivors and communities impacted by crime.

A passionate advocate for elevating the voices of those impacted by crime, Renée believes survivors must not only be heard but actively included in shaping policy, systems, and solutions. She is deeply committed to amplifying victims’ voices and creating spaces where lived experiences inform conversations around justice, healing, and reform. She hosts NCVC’s podcasts, I Want You to Know and Parallel Justice, where she engages in thoughtful conversations that highlight survivor experiences, explore emerging issues in victim advocacy, and foster greater understanding around justice and recovery. Renée is also a frequent public speaker and nationally recognized thought leader on true crime, victim rights, trauma-informed practices, and criminal justice reform. She regularly speaks at conferences, leadership forums, and public events and has represented NCVC as a media expert on national networks including NBC, CBS, Court TV, and other major media platforms. In recognition of her leadership and impact in the field, Renée was honored with the Lois Haight Award of Excellence and Innovation by the US Congressional Crime Survivors & Justice Caucus. She has also received a Jefferson Award for Community Service. Renée earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law
