Frequently Asked Questions for Continuing Student Pre-Registration
Do I need to pre-register?
No, but it is highly recommended. This is your best (and only) opportunity to request open seats in popular classes before Open Registration (Add/Drop/Waitlist in MyAccess) begins.
I submitted my requests but realized I made a mistake. Help?!
No problem! If it’s still within the Pre-Registration Period, let us know at lawreg@georgetown.edu and we’ll release your requests back to you. After you make your correction(s), you’ll need to resubmit your pre-registration requests by the 3:00 deadline on June 11.
I spent hours/days planning my pre-registration… but I don’t think I clicked “Submit Requests”. What happens to all that work?
Before the registration system starts churning, we check for any saved/unsubmitted requests and submit them on your behalf.
I missed the Pre-Registration Period. What can I do?
Unlike most other deadlines, we may be able to help. If you missed the 3:00 p.m. deadline by less than 24 hours, email your course requests to lawreg@georgetown.edu. Be sure to include the course name and CRN (5-digit #). If you missed the deadline by more than 24 hours, you will be able to register in late June—when pre-registration results are released and Open Registration (Add/Drop/Waitlist in MyAccess) begins.
