August 2026

Monday, August 17

• Tuition due for all continuing, transfer and visiting students
• Orientation for incoming J.D. transfer students
• Deadline to submit Fall 2026 Non-Degree J.D. and Non-Degree Graduate Program applications at 3:00 p.m. ET

Monday, Aug. 17 – Friday, Aug. 21

• Orientation for first-year J.D. students
• Orientation for incoming graduate students

Monday, Aug. 24

• Fall 2026 Classes begin for all students
• Upperclass J.D. Students: Fall 2026 Pass/Fail course selection begins
• Fall 2026 J.D. Supervised Research and Graduate Independent Research (GIR) applications due by 5:00 PM ET

Monday, Aug. 31

• Last Fall 2026 waitlist lottery runs at 4:00 PM ET
  (Students who are offered seats must claim them no later than Tuesday, September 1st at 3:00 pm)
• Maximum extension due date for Summer 2026 papers (papers due by 5:00 PM ET)

September 2026

Tuesday, Sep. 1

• The Fall 2026 Add/Drop period ends at 3:00 pm.  Students will not be able to make adjustments to their schedules after this time
• Fall 2026 Last Chance Lottery: The list of available Fall 2026 Last Chance Lottery courses will be posted to the Registration and Enrollment Information webpage after 5:00 pm.  An email will be sent to all students when the list is available.

Wednesday, Sep. 2

• Fall 2026 Last Chance Lottery request form opens at 9:00 am
• Fall 2026 Last Chance Lottery request form closes at 3:00 pm
• Fall 2026 Last Chance Lottery winners are notified after 5:00 pm

Thursday, Sep. 3

• Deadline to claim an awarded Last Chance Lottery seat by 3:00 pm
