With over 44,000 alumni living in over 100 countries, Georgetown Law’s alumni community is a tremendous human resource for fellow alumni, professors, and current students. The Hoya Lawya Gateway is a searchable online database that lets you access that resource and connect with members of the Georgetown Law community –in your town or across the globe.

Though The Network is an opt-in system, the more alumni who register and become active members, the more successful and useful The Network will become. Signing up is fast and easy; log in with your NetID and password from school or with a valid email address and password that you create. See our Tips and Tricks for optimizing your search.

Tips and Tricks

Search by Areas of Expertise – Interested in networking in your practice area, or looking to network with someone in another practice area? Try doing an advanced search by areas of expertise. This targeted search will help narrow your results without limiting the public/private sector scope of an entry’s employment.

Search by Location – If you’re looking to network with alumni in the area where you’re living (or moving to), try searching by state or country. This will help you find Georgetown alums working in all fields in a specific location.

Search by School Activities – To reconnect with former classmates or reach out to alumni with common interests, try searching by student organizations, publications, or legal clinics. This will help you find alums who participated in the same activities you did in school. You can also search by year graduated (with or without activities selected) to find your classmates.
