Amanda DiAmanda is a Georgetown Law student in Cohort 5 of the Business Law Scholars program. She is interested in working in the intersection of law, business, and technology to support the work of innovative and impactful startups and companies.

On campus, she is involved with the Corporate and Financial Law Organization to discover more about transactional law and the type of work that transactional lawyers do, especially in the technology industry. She is also part of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Associate in which she is the 2022 On-Site Coordinator for the Trailblazers Conference that brings together a panel to speak on the law and Asian Americans’ role in the legal field.

Before Georgetown

Amanda did her undergraduate education in the University of California, Berkeley where she earned her Bachelor’s in Economics and Legal Studies. During the school years and summers, she worked at various companies and organizations:

  • Cal Alumni Association, as an Event Assistant
  • EducationSuperHighway, a nonprofit organization that worked to successfully bridge the connectivity gap in classrooms across America where she worked as a marketing intern
  • University of California, Berkeley Economics Department, as a research assistant in behavioral economics
  • a student run consulting group, as a marketing contract consultant for PepsiCo

Upon graduation, Amanda was able to explore the intersection of law, business, and technology through working at a boutique law firm in the Silicon Valley where she gained insights into business litigation matters.

Outside of law school

Amanda is from the Bay Area in California. Outside of law school, Amanda enjoys indoor rock climbing, embroidering, playing video games, traveling to try new restaurants, and doing escape rooms. She most recently has been playing The Legend of Zelda and Stardew Valley. Some of her favorite restaurants include Kiraku in Berkeley, The Pink Door in Seattle, and Tail Up Goat in Washington, DC.
