Emily Wu
Emily is a 2L at Georgetown Law in Cohort 7 of the Business Law Scholars program. Her practice areas of interest include antitrust, bankruptcy, white-collar crime investigation, and general commercial litigation.
On campus, Emily is involved with the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She spent the summer of 2024 working for Hon. Veretta Frazier of the 44th Civil District Court of Texas.
Background
Emily graduated cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University with a degree in Mathematical-Statistics and a minor in Philosophy. She dedicated most of her undergrad time to leading and managing the College mathematics help room.
During undergrad, Emily worked as a Legal Intern at King & Wood Mallesons’s M&A group. She participated in the due diligence review of two large real-estate corporations’ restructuring and listing processes.
Beyond Law School
Emily spent the first 15 years of her life in Shenzhen, China and went to high school in Texas. She is an avid reader of sci-fi and thriller novels, and her favorite authors are Stieg Larsson and William Gibson. Her other hobbies include chess, fencing (épée), and cooking.
Emily speaks fluent Mandarin and is working on her Dutch.
