Ian McGeownIan McGeown grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2016. Prior to entering law school, Ian worked in the public affairs industry, spending two years at Taft Communications in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Ian started as an intern at Taft during his last semester of college before receiving a full-time offer upon graduation.

Ian is a current student at Georgetown Law and is a member of the Corporate and Finacial Law Organization, and the Environmental Law Society.

During the summer of his 1L year, Ian interned at the City Bar Justice Center in New York where he worked on the Homeowner Stability Project. The Homeowner Stability Project provides free legal assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure. In the fall of 2019, Ian interned at the Division of Corporate Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. In the summer of 2020 Ian will be a summer associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in New York City.
