Kellen Mahood
Kellen is a 1L at Georgetown Law and a member of Cohort 8 in the Business Law Scholars program. After law school, he plans on practicing transactional work in a firm focusing on corporate and finance law. On campus, Kellen is involved as a member of the Military Law Society and Texas Law Society. This summer, he will join Paul Hastings as a summer associate in Dallas, Texas.
Background
Before law school, Kellen served as an Armor Officer in the United States Army for six years. He most recently served in Operations Group at Fort Johnson, LA, where he trained reconnaissance units during mission rehearsal exercises in decisive action training environments. Before that, he held various leadership positions in tank and reconnaissance units in 2-13 CAV at Fort Bliss, TX, and 5-15 CAV at Fort Benning, GA.
Kellen graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Defense and Strategic Studies. His primary academic focus was on understanding conflict, military history, and the role of deterrence in modern counter-terrorism strategy.
Beyond Law School
Kellen is from Kansas City, Kansas. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, keeping up with foreign affairs, and spending time with his nephew in Dallas.
