Larissa Klufas

Larissa is a 1L at Georgetown Law in Cohort 7 of the Business Law Scholars program. After graduating, her north star is to work in New York City at BigLaw firm.

At Georgetown, she is an Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) Fellow and Georgetown Center for the Constitution Student Fellow. On campus, she is involved in the Corporate Finance and Law Organization, the SBA Faculty Appointments Committee, Women’s Legal Alliance, the Entertainment, Media, and Sports Law Association, and as a Student Ambassador. Beyond coursework and clubs, Larissa also works pro bono with the CASA de Maryland Citizenship Clinics, Center for Applied Legal Studies, and Capitol Area Immigrant Rights Hotline.

Background

Prior to law school, Larissa was a member of the Corporate Strategy & Development team at iHeartMedia and worked in management consulting, specializing in the asset and wealth management field, at Alpha Financial Markets Consulting in New York City.

Larissa graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and minor in the Anthropology. During her time in undergrad, she was a coxswain on the Division I Men’s Lightweight Rowing Team and served on the Residential Services and Economics Major Advisory boards. Throughout undergrad, she gained experience in fixed income sales & trading at Wells Fargo, conducted research at Wharton at the intersection of marketing and public health, and worked part-time as a laboratory manager at the Perelman School of Medicine.

Beyond Law School

Larissa is from Rhode Island. She speaks Ukrainian and is proficient in Spanish. Her main interests outside of law school include doing any and all “tourist activities” to explore D.C., learning memorization techniques, and watching reality TV.
