Background
Prior to law school, Nate held executive leadership roles in the healthcare industry, leading operations and orchestrating teams in the development and execution of strategies that delivered exceptional patient care, strategic service line expansion, and financial growth at top health systems. Most recently, he served as President of St. Joseph’s Hospital for BayCare Health System in Florida, where he led teams at a 555-bed nonprofit acute care hospital with over 3,200 employees.
Nate’s leadership also extended across major healthcare markets nationwide. He was the Vice President of Operations for the Central Chicago Patient Service Area at Advocate Health in Illinois, overseeing multiple hospitals and ambulatory entities. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Operations over two hospitals with ambulatory centers in Wisconsin with Ascension Health, Market Chief Operating Officer for two hospitals in Southern California with faith-based Dignity Health, and hospital Chief Operating Officer in Southern California with Tenet Health, a Fortune 500 company.
Nate’s career has been shaped by high-stakes decision-making, complex negotiations, and strategic relationship-building. As a hospital executive, he collaborated closely with legal counsel on regulatory compliance, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and contract negotiations, giving him firsthand insight into the business and legal intricacies of corporate transactions. He looks forward to leveraging his extensive corporate executive experience, licensed clinical pharmacist background, and business acumen in a legal capacity.
Nate graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University, a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration & Human Resource Development from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
