Niamke is a member of Cohort 6 in the Business Law Scholars program and his practice areas of interest include M&A, Private Equity, and Debt Finance. In addition to BLS, Niamke is involved in Georgetown’s Early Outreach Program, BLSA, RISE, CFLO, and the Georgetown Softball Team.

Background

Niamke graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Political Sciences and a Concentration in Economics. During undergrad, he was involved in activities including Black Wharton, BSL, C.S.S.P., PennCAP, Mayor’s Scholars, Dana Howe Scholars, Penn Black Pre-law Society, Penn Club baseball, University of Pennsylvania Representative at the 2016 United Nations, and the ECOSOC Youth Forum. In the summer of 2016, Niamke was a Congressional Intern with Representative Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) in Washington, D.C.

After undergrad Niamke was a Legal and Compliance Analyst at Hudson Bay Capital in New York. Previously he was a Junior Compliance Analyst, at Legg Mason.

After 1L Niamke summered at White & Case LLP in their New York office and completed a secondment to Deutsche Bank AG also in New York. Additionally, Niamke was a research assistant for Georgetown Law Journal’s American Review of Criminal Procedure and for Professor David Wishnick. Niamke will be returning to White & Case following 2L. During the fall of 2L Niamke will be externing with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement.

Beyond Law School

Niamke is from Philadelphia. He enjoys watching sports, reading, cooking, running, and trying new restaurants. Niamke is passionate about public policy and social justice.
