Nicolas is a current Georgetown Law student and an Akin Gump Pro Bono Scholar in their New York office. In addition to working at Akin Gump this past summer, he also interned at Sanctuary for Families, New York’s leading service provider for survivors of gender-based violence. Prior to Georgetown, he founded EduAmistad Ecuador, a nonprofit which provides no-cost health education to youth in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Nicolas will be returning to Akin Gump in the summer of 2019. He is interested in litigating and plans to maintain a strong pro bono asylum and immigration practice. Nicolas is fluent in Spanish and is a dual citizen of the United States and Ecuador. He grew up on Long Island, New York, and enjoys theatre, politics, and trying new foods. Nicolas was selected to be a Georgetown Business Law Scholar and is in the Inaugural Cohort.
