Sydney Hawk
Sydney is a 1L student and a member of Cohort 8 in the Business Law Scholars program. After law school, she plans to work in corporate transactions with the eventual goal of working in-house at an innovative company.
At Georgetown, Sydney is involved as a member of the Corporate & Financial Law Organization, Federalist Society (1L Representative for the Communications Committee), Jewish Law Students Association, Howdy Hoyas, and is a Student Ambassador. She will also be a 2025 Tikvah and Blackstone fellow this summer.
Background
Sydney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with a degree in English Literature and Communication Arts. During undergrad, she was the Director of Education for TAMID, the Editor for If You’re Reading This, a Board Member and Advertising Manager for The Daily Cardinal, and was in the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. After graduation, Sydney spent her time traveling throughout Asia.
This summer, Sydney will be working at Baker McKenzie as a Summer Associate in the corporate transactions practice area.
Beyond Law School
Sydney is from Los Angeles, California. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, Pilates, film, reading, and playing electric guitar.
