A Hearing of the U.S. Court of International Trade

Georgetown Law and the Institute of International Economic Law are pleased to invite students to attend a live hearing of the U.S. Court of International Trade on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. ET. This special opportunity will allow students and faculty to observe the Court’s proceedings firsthand and gain insight into the adjudication of international trade disputes.

The case involves an antidumping duty investigation concerning imports from China to the United States. Attorneys from private practice and the U.S. government will present oral arguments before the Judge. Interim Dean of Georgetown Law Joshua Teitelbaum will also offer welcome remarks.

Following the hearing, the attorneys will speak to students about careers in international trade. The Judge will then participate in a lunchtime discussion with students from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET. The discussion will be moderated by IIEL Faculty Co-Directors Kathleen Claussen and Gregory Shaffer.
