HRI Film Screening of National Geographic’s The Territory

As a part of HRI’s Storytelling for Social Change series, join us at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library for a screening of National Geographic’s The Territory (2022), a film about the struggle against deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon. Filmed partially by Uru-eu-wau-wau people, The Territory covers how the indigenous community fights against farmers and settlers burning and clearing the Amazon rainforest. After the screening, we will welcome Paula Moura, Reporter for WBUR Climate and Environment and Maryum Jordan, Climate Justice Attorney for a talkback. All members of the Georgetown Law community are welcome.
