Training: Meeting Girls’ Needs through Radical Safety – How Educators Can Make Schools Safer for Girls and Gender-Expansive Youth of Color.
Now more than ever, schools must become safer spaces for girls of color, so that they can focus, learn, and thrive in a supportive environment. This training will focus on how best to meet the needs of girls and gender-expansive youth of color through the adoption of radical safety principles and practices. Participants will learn skills and concrete practices to increase safety for girls and gender-expansive youth of color.
Learning Objectives:
In this training, participants will learn how to:

Identify at least three key issues that girls and gender-expansive youth are experiencing in schools during the COVID-19 pandemic

Highlight at least three concrete safety practices that can be adopted by schools to support girls; and

Detail key steps they can take to create safer schools where every girl and gender-expansive youth can learn and thrive.
