Amy Serafino is a Principal attorney at Friedlander Misler, where she advises clients on complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, real estate development and construction. She represents sellers, buyers, owner/developers, landlords and tenants in transactions involving major office buildings, large retail shopping centers, mixed-use developments and other premier real estate projects. Amy’s recent local highlights include: serving as lead real estate counsel representing the buyer of a Washington, D.C. office building in the acquisition and financing of the building, with the ultimate goal of converting the use from office to residential; drafting and negotiating all design and construction agreements in connection with the conversion of an existing office building to an educational facility in Maryland and representing the seller of a thirty-one (31) acre office campus for conversion to bio-tech and lab use, the transaction was named by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top deals of 2022

Outside of the office, Amy is a member of the board of directors of Community Forklift, an organization dedicated to reducing or eliminating waste by recognizing, retaining, and returning used and surplus building materials to the community. Amy is passionate about the organization’s mission, as she knows firsthand the value that it provides.
