Andrew Effron has served in a variety of judicial, legislative, and executive positions, including service as the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; General Counsel and Minority Counsel of the Senate Armed Services Committee; Director of the Department of Defense Military Justice Review Group; attorney-advisor in the Department of Defense Office of General Counsel; judge advocate in the Army; and legislative aide in the House of Representatives. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, and his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Political Review.
