Christopher Cestaro has been a partner in Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice since 2021. Professor Cestaro’s practice focuses on white-collar criminal matters, government enforcement actions, internal corporate investigations, due diligence reviews and compliance counseling. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Professor Cestaro served as the Chief of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) Unit of the Department of Justice, where he was responsible for supervising all criminal FCPA investigations, prosecutions and corporate resolutions in the United States. Professor Cestaro’s unique experience also includes experience working as a federal prosecutor focused on white-collar cases and experience working as an in-house compliance counsel for a multinational oil services company. Professor Cestaro graduated from the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia School of Law.
