Deirdre McCarthy Gallagher is the President and Founder of Voices of Value, LLC, a dispute resolution firm dedicated to empowering clients to skillfully anticipate, navigate, and resolve differences that impact professional and personal productivity. Previously, Professor McCarthy Gallagher worked at the United States Office of Special Counsel (OSC) ADR Unit, designing a dispute system for cases involving the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA); mediating USERRA and Prohibited Personnel Practice cases; and serving as a dispute resolution trainer. Professor McCarthy Gallagher also worked for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission as Group Manager for the Dispute Resolution Service; as an Associate with ADR Associates and the Center for Dispute Settlement; and as Deputy Director with the Centre for Strategic Initiatives of Women, an organization dedicated to promoting peace, democracy, and women’s rights in the Horn of Africa. She received a BA from Harvard University in 1991, an MS from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason in 1997, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004. She is a member of the State Bar of Maryland and is active in the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution.
