Professor Norman currently serves as Senior Counsel in the Asset Management Unit of the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this capacity, she focuses primarily on private equity, hedge funds and investment advisers. Prior to joining the AMU, she was counsel to three consecutive Directors of Enforcement and spent a year detailed to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
Since joining the Commission, Donna has received twelve Director Awards and three Chairman’s Awards for Excellence.Prior to joining the Commission, Donna was a litigator in private practice with Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC and with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California. Prior to entering private practice Donna clerked for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Donna is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
