Elizabeth Ann Peterson has over 30 years of litigation experience as a Justice Department attorney representing United States and federal agencies in environmental and natural resources cases in the United States courts of appeals. Throughout her career, she briefed and argued cases involving nationally significant issues affecting the public lands and federal and Indian water rights in federal courts of appeals and state supreme courts, and participated in litigation addressing these issues in the U.S. Supreme Court. She holds a J.D. degree from the Catholic University of America and a B.A. from St. John’s College.
