Adriana Vidal is the Chair of the Global Partnership of Forest and Landscape Restoration. She is also the Senior Policy Officer, Climate Change at IUCN. Adriana has 15 years of experience working with government agencies, partners and international global spaces advocating for and supporting enhanced policy frameworks for nature-based solutions in the forest and land-use sector. She leads IUCN’s land-based international policy work on climate change and biodiversity and provides expert advice for country-level policy influencing strategies and activities. Before joining IUCN in 2015, Adriana worked in the non-profit, public and private sectors in the U.S. and Peru providing legal counsel and policy advice on REDD+, forest conservation and environmental and social compliance involved in extractive industries. Adriana holds a J.D. degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and an LL.M in Environmental Law from New York University.
