Professor Zirkle retired from the CIA’s Office of General Counsel at the end of 2009, where he served for 26 years as an Associate General Counsel. The majority of his service involved support to technical collection, counterintelligence and security activities (not all at once). He has been an Associate Dean of the Yale Law School and an associate professor of law at The University of Mississippi and the College of William and Mary. He currently is also an adjunct professor at American University’s Washington College of Law.
