Jean-Baptiste Pessey serves as Senior Director of Corporate In-house Credentialing Programs at a trade association in Washington, D.C., after serving as Associate General Counsel and Director of Legal Resources at the same organization for several years. He previously served as Assistant Director and Legal Contracts Counsel at Ernst & Young U.S. LLP (“EY”) in Washington, D.C. Professor Pessey previously practiced as an attorney in France, in the dispute resolution department of an international law firm (formerly called Lovells (Paris) LLP, now called Hogan Lovells (Paris) LLP). He also served as a consultant for various units of the World Bank Group. Professor Pessey received a Master of Laws in international law (Diplรดme dโEtudes Approfondies) and a Master of Laws in business and tax law (Diplรดme dโEtudes Supรฉrieures Spรฉcialisรฉes) from the University of Panthรฉon AssasโParis II, as well as an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a graduate from the Institute d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
