Jean-Baptiste Pessey serves as Associate General Counsel and Director of Legal Resources at a trade association in Washington, D.C. He previously served as Assistant Director and Legal Contracts Counsel at Ernst & Young U.S. LLP (“EY”) in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining EY, Professor Pessey served as Assistant General Counsel for the Association of Corporate Counsel. Professor Pessey previously practiced as an attorney in France, in the dispute resolution department of Lovells (Paris) LLP and Hogan Lovells (Paris) LLP. He also served as a consultant for various units of the World Bank Group. Professor Pessey received a Master of Laws in international law (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies) and a Master of Laws in business and tax law (Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées) from the University of Panthéon Assas – Paris II, as well as an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a graduate from the Institute d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
