Juan Walker teaches negotiation at Georgetown University Law Center and Stanford Law School.

Since 2011, he has served as a mediator in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, mediating commercial, personal injury, and employment disputes.

He has more than 25 years of experience in commercial litigation and product liability, with additional experience in privacy law, employment law, and regulatory compliance. He most recently served as Senior Corporate Counsel in the Commercial Litigation Group of Oracle’s Legal Department. Prior to joining Oracle, he served as Director of Litigation for Varian Medical Systems in Palo Alto. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Francisco, where he represented the government in civil litigation matters. He also practiced at two private law firms and served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer in the U.S. Air Force, completing separate assignments as a criminal prosecutor and criminal defense attorney.

He earned a J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
