A.B. magna cum laude, Brown; J.D. magna cum laude, Harvard. Professor Popofsky is a partner in the Washington office of Ropes & Gray LLP and head of the Antitrust Practice Group. Professor Popofsky currently is counsel to Google in United States v. Google. Professor Popofsky has also served as senior counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was counsel for the United States in United States v. Microsoft Corp. (D.D.C.), the United States’ monopolization suit against Microsoft. Prior to this position, Professor Popofsky was an attorney in the Division’s Appellate Section and served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, Office of the United States Attorney, Eastern District of Virginia. Professor Popofsky was law clerk to the Honorable Dorothy W. Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He was the Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review.
