Michael H. Smith is an attorney in the Federal Trade Commission’s Technology Enforcement Division. Previously, Mr. Smith was a counsel at WilmerHale, where he represented clients in patent, trade secret, antitrust, and other disputes.

Mr. Smith is teaching in his personal capacity, not as a representative of the FTC, and any views he expresses are his own and not necessarily those of the Commission or any individual Commissioner.
