After receiving his M.A.(Political Science) and J.D., Professor Diamond served as a law clerk for Judge Stanley A. Weigel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Chief Justice Warren E. Burger of the U.S. Supreme Court. He was formerly a partner with the D.C. firm of Steptoe & Johnson, where he practiced for ten years in the areas of antitrust and international trade litigation before joining the Law Center faculty in January 1985. Professor Diamond currently serves on the Georgetown Medical Center Committee for Transitional Administration. His writings include “Economic Foundations of Countervailing Duty Law,” in the Virginia Journal of International Law, and “A Search for Economic and Financial Principles in the Administration of U.S. Countervailing Duty Law,” in Law and Policy in International Business.
