Sarah Sloan is an Associate Professor of Law, Legal Practice. Most recently, Professor Sloan worked at the Policing Project at NYU Law School, a non-profit organization focused on police reform and democratic accountability. Before that, she was a member of the Supreme Court and Appellate Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Professor Sloan served as a law clerk to Justice Elena Kagan and Justice John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court; Judge Michelle Friedland of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and Judge Alison Nathan, then of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Professor Sloan received her JD from Columbia Law School, and her BA in Political Science from Yale.
