Tom McSorley is currently Corporate Counsel at Rebellion Defense, a national security focused technology company. Before joining Rebellion, Professor McSorley was senior associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP in the firm’s National Security practice group. Prior to Arnold & Porter, Professor McSorley was counsel at SpaceX, with a focus on export compliance and information security. Professor McSorley graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown Law, where he was a research assistant to Professor Brian Wolfman and an articles and notes editor on the American Criminal Law Review. After graduating Georgetown, Professor McSorley clerked for the Honorable Catherine C. Blake on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. He is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania, DC, the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Maryland and DC, and the Fourth Circuit. Before law school, Profesor McSorley taught special education in DC for three years as a Teach For America corps member. He received his A.B. in Government, cum laude, from Harvard College, and an M.A. in Special Education from American University.
