Weili Shaw is an attorney on the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he has briefed and argued appeals in most of the federal courts of appeals, representing the government in constitutional and administrative-law challenges to government action and in litigation involving a variety of federal statutes.

Professor Shaw previously worked in the Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice at WilmerHale. Before joining WilmerHale, he served as Special Assistant to the Acting Solicitor General of the United States. He clerked for Judge Michael Boudin on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
