ICAP’s mission is to use the power of the courts to defend American constitutional rights and values. Although ICAP launched less than two years ago, our dedicated team of nine litigators has been approached to take on major cases, file key amicus briefs, and write influential reports and op-eds.

ICAP is doing cutting-edge constitutional work with tangible successes in six main areas:

1. Defending immigrant communities (sanctuary cities, DACA, and more)
2. Protecting voter rights
3. Defending freedom of religion and speech
4. Pursuing criminal justice reform
5. Defending whistleblowers and government transparency
6. Addressing the rise of unlawful private paramilitaries

While housed at Georgetown Law, we are 100% responsible for our team’s salaries and for costs associated with our litigation and work—and we ensure that every dollar we raise is dedicated to the important work of our team.
