Easy Wins for Accessibility

Microsoft Word comes with an inbuilt accessibility checker, with guidelines on how to fix the errors it highlights.

  1. To access the checker, navigate to Review on the top panel and then click on ‘Check Accessibility‘ option next to ‘Read Aloud’. Accessibility Assistant will open on the right side.
  2. If there are no issues, you will find a checkmark next to each accessibility check.
  3. If there is an issue, you will see a number next to accessibility check, which you can click on to view options to fix.
