The Global Law Scholars Program
The Global Law Scholars Program (GLS) prepares students for transnational practice in which they regularly encounter problems that involve more than one legal system. The aim is to combine language skills and cultural familiarity with rigorous and directed legal training so that Scholars are ready to practice in the global legal environment of the 21st century. Approximately 20 Scholars are selected each year.
Entering full-time first year J.D. students only may apply. Applicants to the GLS Program must fill out a separate GLS Applicant Form and Foreign Language Evaluation Form. Applicants may submit GLS Application materials at the same time that they apply to Georgetown Law, or may send them in later, provided they do so before the deadline. GLS application materials should not be sent to the Office of Admissions.
