On-Campus Housing
Welcome to the Gewirz Student Center!
The Gewirz Student Center is a vibrant learning community located in the heart of Washington, DC. Nearly 300 students from around the world live here, along with professors, clergy, and staff. There are three main reasons why students choose Gewirz: our convenient location, our amenities, and our social support network. Please note that Gewirz is a smoke-free building.
Our Convenient Location
The Gewirz Student Center is located directly on the Georgetown Law Campus, across the green from McDonough Hall. We are connected to the Sport and Fitness Center and Courtside Cafe.
Additionally, we are located just blocks away from the US Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the National Mall, and Union Station. We are located mid-way between the Judiciary Square and Union Station Metro Stops, both within walking distance, where you can be whisked to nearly any part of the city in a matter of minutes.
At Gewirz, you can experience the best of both worlds -- convenience to campus combined with easy access to the city.

Social Support Network
By far, the biggest benefit to living in Gewirz is the unique social support network that develops from living and working with fellow students. Resident Fellows live in Gewirz and work hard to guide you through your first year of law school. Besides providing you with tips and advice on topics like choosing classes, studying for exams, and finding a summer internship, Resident Fellows strive to create a cooperative learning environment in which Gewirz residents forge social bonds lasting well beyond their years at law school.
Prospective Residents are encouraged to visit the Gewirz Student Center if they are in Washington. Those who cannot visit in person are encouraged to explore our website, with photographs and detailed information about our facility.
