The Gewirz Student Center offers apartment style living in the heart of Washington, D.C. Summer associates, interns, and students enjoy the privacy of individual bedrooms, while sharing full kitchens and bathrooms with one to two other residents. Summer residents are automatically members of GULC's state-of-the-art Sport and Fitness Center. Rates are listed under the 'Room Rates' tab on the sidebar. Cable, wireless internet, electricity, water, and trash removal are included in the rates.
Summer housing will be available from Saturday, May 30, 2015 through Sunday, August 8, 2015. (Please note that we are unable to offer summer housing outside of these dates due to conflict with the academic year housing dates). The application for 2015 summer housing in the Gewirz Student Center is now available. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and in D.C. for an academic purpose (internship, classes, job, studying for the bar exam, etc.).

What's Happening Next Door?
If you have visited the Georgetown Law campus, then you have noticed the construction taking place on 2nd street, next to the Gewirz Student Center and on the freeway below. This is the first stage of the Capitol Crossing project, a multi phase development project that will be under construction for the foreseeable future. The construction will take place across the street from Gewirz and above the I-395 roadway creating 2.2 million square feet of business space, apartments, etc... To date, the project has created some inconveniences for Law Center students, including occasional or periodic noise, but it has generally been manageable and on par with what one should expect from a major downtown construction project. Ultimately, Georgetown Law will benefit from the new retail opportunities created by such an immense project.
