Cybersecurity Law Institute
May 22-23, 2013The frequency and severity of consequences of cybercrime and cyberattack have for the first time made data security the number one legal concern of both in-house counsel and corporate directors of public companies, according to a 2012 study of almost 2,000 general counsel and 11,000 corporate directors conducted by Corporate Board Member and FTI Consulting. To assist general counsels and their staffs in their efforts to address cyber risks, a national advisory board of professionals who deal with cybersecurity daily has created the inaugural Cybersecurity Law Institute, This wide-ranging, two-day program will provide in-house and outside counsel with the practical, pragmatic advice they need to effectively address today’s major cybersecurity challenges. Bringing together corporate officials, government advisors, law enforcement experts, and privacy analysts, this program will provide you with a blueprint for managing cyber threats with a meaningful strategy. Rather than utilizing a series of “talking heads,” this Institute combines scenario-based role plays, focused panels, and interactive discussions between experts and audience members to make sure that you stay engaged in learning throughout the two days. Not only will you collect wisdom from the best and brightest minds in cybersecurity law and planning, but you will also be given a state-of-the-art set of guidelines, sample documents, and tips.
